Questions About Hemp
What are the Health Benefits of Hemp-derived CBD?
We are so happy you are here on our website. We love teaching our customers about CBD and its many great Health Benefits. We have all heard about how CBD defeats seizures and has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of childhood epilepsy. But CBD has so many more great health benefits including reducing anxiety, relieving chronic pain without all the side effects of narcotic pain killers and much much more. Please see the graphic below and ask us questions using the convenient chat option below to reach one of our customer advocates.
What is the fastest way to feel the effects of CBD?
One of the most effective ways to absorb CBD into your body is via the Sublingual gland.
The sublingual gland is a salivary gland about the size of an almond that lies underneath the tongue in the floor of your mouth. Saliva drains from it through a number of small tubes that open on the inside of the mouth underneath the tongue.
Once the CBD passes through the gland under your tongue to the blood, it rapidly makes its way to the brain and the rest of the body, where it can start having effects. Your saliva will dissolve it and begin the process of absorbing it into your bloodstream. Since it bypasses your digestive tract this way, you’ll feel the effects much faster.
You’ll typically feel the effects of a sublingual dosage within minutes and these can last for a few hours. So if you're looking for a fast relief from pain, migraine, or acute stress, that may be the way to go. Plus, it allows you to easily titrate the dose. That is, you get relatively rapid feedback and can take another dose if necessary.
It all depends on your desired results; sublingual absorption is a very efficient method of daily intake of CBD. If you want your CBD to work quickly, then take the required serving under your tongue, waiting a minute to 90 seconds, and then swallowing. CBD oil being held under the tongue for 60 to 90 seconds before being swallowed, allows the mucus membranes in the mouth to absorb the compounds.
As a bonus, GoVista CBD oils come with a dropper, so you can place your CBD in your food, if you do not want to place the drops sublingually. Be aware when doing this that the absorption rate will be much slower than placing drops directly under your tongue. What does full spectrum mean?
Full Spectrum refers to a range of beneficial cannabinoids (such as CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN etc), terpenes and phytonutrients that occur naturally in a hemp plant. We believe and research shows that these compounds work synergistically together to create much better results than using just a CBD isolate. For people that require drug tests, we highly recommend CBD isolate and not full spectrum products.
What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
The primary difference between hemp oil and CBD oil is where the oil itself is derived from the hemp plant. Hemp Oil is derived from the seeds of the hemp plant only. CBD Oil is derived from the stalk, stems, leaves or flowers of industrial hemp plants. However, many products on Amazon that state “Hemp Oil” may actually contain CBD simply because Amazon doesn’t want the CBD name on its marketplace. Typically the way to identify CBD products is by seeing whether a milligram (mg) dosage per bottle, capsule or unit is shown on the bottle label. Hemp Oil with no CBD will typically only show an ounce measure without any stated “mg” dosage.
What is the difference between cannabis, hemp and marijuana?
Think of it this way. Cannabis Sativa L is the family, like for example Evergreen Trees are a family of trees. Then under that family, there are groupings or “types” like Pine Trees, Firs, Cedars, Spruces, etc. In the case of Cannabis, the grouping or types are Hemp and Marijuana where these types are very easily identifiable by chemical composition and appearance. Hemp contains almost no tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly referred to as “THC”. THC is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana's psychological effects. Hemp has less than 0.3% THC while Marijuana has upwards of 15% THC in its extracted oils.
Which part of the plant does CBD come from?
CBD oil is extracted as a liquid from the stalk, stems, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant. The only part of the hemp plant that does not contain CBD oil is hemp seed, which is a seed that grows in the hemp flower much like a sunflower seed. Similar to a sunflower seed, the Hemp Flower Seed is considered a “super-food”.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are part of a class of diverse chemical compounds that act on receptors in the human endocannabinoid system (ECS). Unlike THC which gets you high, CBD and other cannabinoids are non-psychoactive and simply have healthy benefits much like we take Fish Oil, multi-vitamins and ibuprofen to improve our health or help us combat pain and other chronic issues like arthritis and joint pain, anxiety, energy, focus and more.
What guarantees do I have that the CBD I buy contain as much CBD as promised without contents I do not want?
Be very careful! GoVistaCBD products all ship with packaging that includes a QR Code that you can scan when you receive your product. The QR Code links to a 3rd party lab report administered to every batch of a specific product after it is produced and before it is labeled and packaged. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers trying to get rich off of the CBD hype. Be weary of websites selling a product with a Free Trial and no clear label or a lab reports available on the website. With GoVista’s affordable pricing, you will actually pay less per milligram of CBD than a lot of the scam sites even though they tout a free trial with just shipping and handling charges where many of those products don’t even contain any actually CBD.
What is the difference between CBD that is extracted from hemp vs. CBD that is extracted from marijuana?
Hemp and marijuana are species from the Cannabis Sativa L plant. There is no difference between CBD that is extracted from the two. CBD is CBD whether it comes from hemp or marijuana. However, depending on the process used to extract and “isolate” CBD, when derived from marijuana the “full-spectrum” CBD could contain unwanted levels of THC that can cause one to fail drug tests or even become impaired from its psychoactive effects.
Where does your hemp come from?
We are proud to say that our hemp is grown and processed in the USA and certified by third party labs. Unlike many of our competitors, we do not use imported CBD extract which is not compliant with the US Farm Bill passed by our federal government.
Will I be able to pass a drug test with GoVista Hemp products?
Our products contain less than .3% THC, which is a very small amount, however, because of the fat-soluble nature of THC and other cannabinoids found in hemp oil, accumulation and excretion of hemp oil byproducts can result in a positive drug test. If you are concerned with passing a drug test, we do not recommend using any of our full-spectrum CBD products. Make sure you purchase only products clearly marked as CBD Isolate. We urge you to reach out to us by email, phone or chat for additional questions about any specific product(s).
I’m new to CBD. How do I know which product to choose?
All of our product families or categories have similar formulations within that category. The main difference is in the strengths per bottle, per count, per unit, per ounce or per serving. Any of our products will provide you with beneficial cannabinoids and many contain additional nutrients to support your overall health and wellness as shown in the product descriptions. If you are new to GoVista and/or CBD products, selecting a product or regimen can be daunting. We suggest contacting us via email, phone or chat so we can help direct you in a product that will please you and your unique tastes and preferences. For example, some people prefer swelling a capsule rather than eating a Gummy Bear, while other are the exact opposite.
Will I get high from your CBD oil?
Our products have less than .3% THC when labeled as full-spectrum or not specifically labeled while products labeled or described as “CBD Isolate” contain no THC. Even at 0.3%, this amount of THC is not enough to be psychoactive. You will not get high from our products.
Can you take GoVista products on a plane?

What type of Liquid CBD do I choose and what dosage?
Isolate: A CBD Isolate derived tincture is perfect for people just getting into CBD! Isolate is just the CBD cannabinoid, which may be beneficial for pain, anxiety, inflammation and much more! An isolate tincture is a great way to get introduced to your endocannabinoid system!
Broad Spectrum: Just like our Isolate tinctures, our Broad Spectrum tincture is focused around CBD, with a little more variety of cannabinoids to help the effectiveness. Broad Spectrum is formulated to diminish the THC-cannabinoids in the tincture. This allows other cannabinoids, such as CBG, CBDA and many more to work effectively together for better results than an Isolate tincture can provide!
Full Spectrum Crude: Full Spectrum is for people serious about optimizing your daily life! Full Spectrum Crude Tinctures have all of the cannabinoids the hemp plant offers, as well as lipids and chlorophyll. The combination of all cannabinoids creates the Entourage Effect, which is each cannabinoid helping the other cannabinoids to do their job better. We give it this name in the industry because they work as an entourage and are much more effective together. The lipids and fats bond with the bodies internal fat cells to provide a longer term residual effect.
Full Spectrum Distillate: Our Full Spectrum Distillate tinctures are the most effective tincture we formulate! It has all of the cannabinoids, creating the Entourage Effect just as our Crude tincture does, but we distill the oil to allow greater absorption for the body. The plant matter and lipids decrease the bioavailability of the cannabinoids for the body, which decrease the effectiveness of the cannabinoids. Our distillate tincture is going to be the best option for someone who is serious about getting all the benefits for their body from cannabinoids!
Any issues that recommend 20 mg a day or more should be addressed with our 1000-2000mg tincture options. We want you to evenly divide dosing between am and pm 8-12 hours apart. ONLY APPROXIMATELY 50% of CBD tincture is absorbed through the sublingual gland so you will need to double your intake of recommended MG listed above! All recommendations are based off current medical research done, we are not doctors nor do we claim to be. Keep out of reach of children. Consult your health-care provider if you are pregnant, nursing or have any medical concerns. Do not take if allergic to hemp, CBD or related products. Product & statement has not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Administration.
Can CBD Boost Your Immune System?
With the Coronavirus pandemic continuing, everyone is looking for ways to boost their immune system and stay healthy. Stores all across the country are selling out of Vitamin C, hand sanitizers, immune supplements and other known wellness products in an effort to reduce the chances of getting sick.
While there is nothing wrong with these well-known precautions, one compound is quickly gaining popularity for being an excellent choice for boosting the immune system and supporting one’s health (not to mention the added benefits of helping to relieve anxious feelings and reduce stress). This miraculous 100% Natural compound is CBD (Cannabidiol).
We all know that when our immune system is strong, we have a better chance to stay healthy, have lots of energy and live our best life!
HOW CBD AFFECTS YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
Throughout our bodies we have something called an endocannabinoid system. This system has receptors all throughout our brain, nervous system and organs. The endocannabinoid system helps assist our body in regulating our immune system by helping us return to homeostasis. Cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, interact with these receptors and invoke a reaction to the compound introduced. These effects are alterations in a physiological response associated with things such as mood, appetite, memories and discomfort.
Interestingly, CBD is known as an “immunomodulator”, meaning it helps the immune system by keeping it in check and alert. CBD helps to support immune responses in or bodies to respond to antibodies in the most effective way possible. By allocating our immune system’s duties, CBD can help overactive and underactive immune systems to function more efficiently. CBD is an intelligent immunomodulator and knows exactly what reactions our body must take to aid the immune system in fighting whatever may be dampening our full functionality.
WHAT ELSE CAN CBD DO FOR OUR HEALTH?
Through research, CBD has shown to have many beneficial effects for our bodies including promoting bone growth, reducing anxiety, relieving chronic pain and headaches and also improving focus. Combined, all these synergistic effects improve mood and increase energy.
